The events have been timed around the arrivals of the boats from St Malo and Dielette, and with many flights from the south of England.

5.15 – 6.45 pm/17.15 – 18.45h: Vin d’honneur and welcome. By invitation and weekend delegates only. Inner Street, St Peter Port Market.
In the historic setting of Guernsey’s Market Square, well known to Victor Hugo, the Vin d’honneur is a sociable start to the Weekend. Meet with other delegates, members of the Society and our visiting Hugo experts. There will be an opportunity to visit the Victor Hugo & Childhood Exhibition in the adjoining Gallery and see a display of local children’s creative work, inspired by Victor Hugo’s poetry. Pick up your tricolour rosette from the Registration Desk – it is your pass to all our events.
6.45 – 7.45 pm/18.45 – 19.45 h. Celebration supper. Dix Neuf, Commercial Arcade, St Peter Port. Advance booking essential.
You are invited to join us for a two-course supper, a few short steps away from the Market in the buzzing Commercial Arcade. Please inform sec@victorhugoinguensey if you are vegetarian or have any other special dietary requirements. This is an excellent and fun opportunity to chat with our visiting experts and Guernsey residents who share your interest in Victor Hugo. The meal will finish promptly at 7.45 pm/17.45h, ideal for those attending The Songs of Adèle Hugo concert at the Town Church, where prime seats will be reserved for delegates.
